Our Club holds four general membership meetings a year. The two that are held in conjunction with our March and July Specialties are well attended. The other two, during the months of November and May, have very poor attendance. The Board of Directors has been corresponding about this matter. Mike Simpson suggested that perhaps if we could hold one or both of these two meetings in conjunction with an all-breed dog show, we might get better attendance.

During the month of November, the Brazoria Kennel Club is having shows on November 19 and November 20 at the Houston Farm and Ranch Club, the same site as our March Specialty. We have decided to hold our general membership meeting at 7:30 PM on Saturday November 19 at the Cattle Guard Restaurant & Bar, which is located at 1010 Highway 6 N, just North of highway I-10.

We would also like to encourage all potential exhibitors to enter their beagles in the shows and perhaps we can build some "majors" that are normally difficult to come by. The Judges for these shows are as follows:

Nov. 19: Breed - Mr. L. Boileau. Group - J. G. Reynolds

Nov. 20: Breed - Mr. C. R. Morris. Group - Mrs. P. B. Peat

Please let us know via email if you are planning on attending this meeting so that we can make arrangements with the Restaurant for the proper space. Hopefully we will get a good response and we can plan this arrangement for future meetings.
